Ok, I'm back. Sorry it took a while, I discovered a few other critical issues I had to deal with:

1. Even if Wifi was setup correctly during the installation, you couldn't use it in a session - fixed
2. Due to recent changes in Debian 12, around 30% of the icons in the Software Center were missing (deep rabbit hole) - fixed
3. Issue related to using PIP for installing packages for Python - fixed

Regarding your issue I have done the following:

1. Added the entry "Start offline installer" to the ISO menu, which uses a different configuration that will not try to connect to the internet (ignores Wi-Fi)
2. Reduced the timeouts regarding IPv6 connection testing to 5 seconds

This version will become Kumander Linux 2.0 Release Candidate 2. Please let me know if you still have any issues with it.

UPDATE: Ok, I have been down to the depths of Hades itself and back, in regards to the rabbit hole that is the Debian Installer (d-i), Live Build and preseed files! There is just not much information on it online, hence ChatGPT o1's suggestions are not very helpful and even misleading.

Anyway, I believe this should all be working well now. Here is what I have done:

1. Added the new "Start offline installer" that actually works as expected (Wi-Fi is ignored)
2. Fixed the issue with the login screen reporting about "Theme not working properly" on slower PCs/laptops
3. Upgraded the Web-Greeter to the latest version (3.5.2 > 3.5.3)
4. Fixed various preseed issues regarding locale, timezone settings and more

I hope this solves all the current problems. If not, please let me know.

Kumander Linux is designed to look the way that it looks out of the box, which is a style that is inspired by Windows 7.

Users are naturally free to download and install whatever templates they like, but there is no guarantee if they will work or not.

Bonjour à toute l'équipe et un grand Bravo pour cette distribution. Par contre j'ai un soucis qaund je connecte en usb mon telephone Honor, Kumander ne le monte pas. J'utilise en dualboot, Emmabuntus et cette distribution le monte sans problème. Y a t il une mise à jour à faire ?

Thank you for the suggestion, but I believe this would put Kumander in risk of being sued. That's why I designed it like I did: it feels (more or less) like Windows 7, but there are no proprietary graphics used. It's a fair and safe compromise.

Он должен работать так же хорошо, как и AMD. Главное, чтобы он был на базе X86, так что всё в порядке.

Merci pour vos aimables paroles. Essayez d'installer ces paquets depuis le terminal et voyez si cela vous aide :

sudo apt install gvfs-fuse jmtpfs libfuse2 libmtp-runtime mtp-tools

Wow! May Linux na ulit sa Pinas? Cool! Matanong ko lang, bakit Debian ang ginamit na base? Personally, I prefer an Ubuntu base mainly because of better hardware support and detection ng Canonical kernel. The Debian kernel, I believe, is closer to the vanilla kernel. But that's just me. Good to see na may Linux distro na ulit from Philippines. Mabuhay si Kumander!

Hi po. Gusto ko sanang ayusin ang time zone ko ng Kumander Linux OS gamit ang Virtual Machine Manager sa laptop ko na naka-install ang Mint OS. Kaya lang, nagtatanong siya ng password authentication sa akin, so paano ko iri-reset iyan, or ano ba yung default password po?

Hello po. Kung nagpapatakbo ka ng Kumander Linux sa pamamagitan ng Live Boot, ang password ay "live" (nang walang mga panipi). Kung nag-install ka ng Kumander Linux, ito ang password na ibinigay mo sa proseso ng pag-install. Mag-ingat ka.
